Flying solo Friday

*wrote this a couple of weeks ago, whoops forgot to hit publish apparently...smh Being single and having friends who all either have significant others or children makes having plans with people kinda difficult. So what did I do? I went out, on my own. I went to see an amazing artist perform,(Haji Basim) at a local venue called The Evening Muse. It was a great performance and I really enjoyed it, I wish I would have taken photos of that part of the night.

After the show it was still quite early and I figured it would be too lame to head in so soon on a friday night. So I headed uptown to have a bite to eat and I went to Mert's, a delicious soul food restaurant, YUM!

After eating dinner I took a stroll around uptown people watching and taking photos (which aren't very good but I'll share one anyway!)

All in all it was a decent Friday night, it's good to know that even when I don't have anyone around I can still enjoy an evening out, however, it's always nice to have a friend or two around.
