Making big moves
Whew, I'm tired! These past few days I have been a very busy little bee, which is a good thing but still exhausting. I have a lot of stuff that I am working on with music and poetry, so much so that I haven't really had much time to do anything with film, photography or my novel :( but hopefully once I get some of these projects completed I can focus on those things as well. So, I am really excited to say that my music is finally starting to go somewhere! I produced a track recently titled The Hope and a great friend of mine who is a poet is going to use it on her sophomore poetry album! And to top it off I am actually singing the hook on the track for her as well! So humbled. Also, another poet and somewhat of a mentor to me has requested one of my instrumentals and for me to sing the hook on their CD as well! We are talking world ranking poet here, yay! Lastly, because of reverbnation a fellow artist (a rapper) reached out to me and I am happy to say I have sent him on of my instrumentals as well to work on.

Okay, so I know I said lastly BUT there is one last thing pertaining to music that I just have to share. I got to produce two tracks off a friends album for her! It was a lot of fun, although I was not familiar with the software that we were using so I had to have some help and guidance of some good friends, but the bottom line is that I did it! So all in all this music thing is finally being brought into fruition! I can't wait to take class next semester, Audio Engineering here I come!
Moving on to other things...I had been putting off doing the video for my Kickstarter page because I was trying to figure out how to make this epic-ly awesome video (yeah I know that wasn't really a word). I have been brainstorming my little brains out and coming up with cool but not so easily possible ideas and concepts which only discouraged me. So now I have come to the conclusion that I will take a more simplistic route to this task. Will my video look like crap...no. I will still make something of quality, I just won't expect it to win any awards. Besides the main point of the video is not so that it wins best project video award (well, unless they actually offer that...) it's to showcase the amazingness of my book project. So it's time to sit back down and think simpler for the sake of getting all the funding needed for this project. Wish me luck.
