About This Event:
In this generative writing workshop, ecologist and poet Anne Marie Wells will introduce participants to some of today's eco-poets and artists and guide participants through a series of writing prompts that will use the outdoors and personal experience as inspiration for creative expression. No writing experience is necessary to participate.
About the Facilitator:
Anne Marie Wells (she/they) is an award-winning and Pushcart-nominated queer poet, playwright, and memoirist. She is the author of Survived By: A Memoir in Verse + Other Poems (Curious Corvid Publishing, 2023) and Mother, (v) which won Cinnamon Press's 2023 Chapbook contest and was published in2024. About the Fundraiser:
This 3-day poetry/creative writing marathon benefits YaNi Davis @yanimeanspeace , a fellow poet who has been battling kidney disease and whose life is at risk due to kidney failure.
Several poets are coming together to host poetry workshops on topics they feel passionately about. All the workshop registrations are donation-based. ALL DONATIONS WILL GO DIRECTLY TO YANI'S LIVING AND MEDICAL EXPENSES.
