Refine the Roots is a one-on-one, collaborative poetry revision session designed for poets who want depth, conversation, and care—not rushed critique or surface-level notes.
This is a live Zoom session where we’ll read closely, talk through your work, and revise together in real time, followed by written feedback and optional continued support depending on your session choice.
You’ll leave with clearer revision direction, concrete next steps, and renewed momentum with your work.
Not every poem needs the same level of attention. You can choose the revision experience that best fits where you are in your process right now.
Whether you’re looking for focused feedback on a single draft or spacious time to dig deeply into multiple poems, both options center care, conversation, and collaborative revision.

Writers at any stage are welcome—whether you’re bringing an early draft or a nearly finished piece.

Please submit your poem(s) and pre-session form at least 24 hours before our session.
This session focuses on revision and exploration, not copyediting or ghostwriting.
Your session is confirmed once payment, date, and start time are finalized.
Because this is a limited, high-touch offering:
Cancellations made 48+ hours before the session are eligible for a refund minus a $25 preparation fee.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the session are not eligible for a refund, but one reschedule may be offered within 30 days.
