That’s where Refine the Roots comes in.
Think of this as a live revision space, not a red-pen critique. I’ll help you dig into your work, explore possibilities, and refine it in real-time—without the frustration of figuring it out alone.
Whether you’re revising for yourself, for submission, or just because you can feel there’s a stronger version waiting, we’ll get there together. This space is about slowing down and listening closely to what the work is asking for.
What this Space Is (& Isn’t)

a collaborative revision space
slow, curious, and generative
focused on patterns, structure, and possibility
grounded in conversation, not correction
Refine the Roots is not:
a line-by-line copyedit
a workshop with an audience
a one-size-fits-all critique
a rush to “fix” your poem
How It Works

Up to 3 poems · 2-hour live Zoom session · $95
Includes two weeks of follow-up support

I offer one Refine the Roots session per month to keep this work spacious and focused.
Sign-ups open on the 1st of the month and close on the 7th (or when the slot is filled).

🌻 Step 2: Choose Your Date
When booking, you’ll select one of the available January dates listed below.
January Availability
Monday, January 12 — start anytime between 6:00–8:00pm EST
Tuesday, January 20 — start anytime between 12:00–8:00pm EST
Monday, January 26 — start anytime between 2:00–8:00pm EST
🌻 Step 3: Lock in Your Start Time
After booking, I’ll follow up by email to confirm your preferred start time within your selected date window.
🌻 Step 4: Share Your Work + Preferences
Once your time is confirmed, I’ll send you a link where you can upload your poem(s) or share a link to your work.
This link will also include a short pre-session form so I can learn:
how you prefer to receive feedback
what you’re hoping to focus on during our session
where the poem(s) are in your revision process
🌻 Step 5: Live Revision + Follow-Up
We’ll meet on Zoom for a deep, collaborative revision session.
Afterward, you’ll receive written feedback and have two weeks of Slack support for continued revision and questions.
‼️ Your session is confirmed once your date and start time are finalized by email.
